During
Sandblasting
After
Sandblasting
Alot of buildings you see
around you every day are constructed of stone and over many years grime and pollution physically gets onto the stone
and starts to eat into the surface which leads to erosion that causes
moss, litchen and other algae to form and also with the contamination
from carbon deposits in the air it eventually turns it black.
As you can see from this website we perform many types of various stone
cleaning but sandblasting is one on its own. There are also different
materials you can use with the sandblasting method such as the different
types of sand, fine, coarse and also grit and bead etc. There are also
many methods you can undertake with sandblasting such as the wet system, dry system or even dust free
system.
These systems should only ever be used on stone, metal and beams but
should NEVER be used on brick. The only time you should
ever use any of these systems on brick is when you need a key for
rendering and when the brick is inside a building and not exposed to the
outside weather elements.
These sandblasting systems do take the face off the brickwork no matter how fine the
material is and the when the face of the brick is removed the brick becomes
porous and this causes damp to penetrate into the building.
When we are performing any of our professional cleaning operations we
always think of the public and the buildings first. We first need to
make sure that our working envioronment is safe so that we are not a
danger to the public and then we find the most appropriate method to
clean the building to avoid any unnecessary damage.
As you can see from our website we are very experienced in everything
that we do and treat every job whether is it brick, stone or wood etc as
if it was our own.
Respect, pride and satisfaction is our motto and all our quotations and
demonstrations are FREE so please call anytime, 7 days
a week 7.00am to 9.00pm or you can leave a message 24 hours a day and we
will be back in touch with you as soon as we can.
